Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Safety Manager for our Phoenix Division on a high-profile $5 billion project. The role leads the site safety program, trains staff and subcontractors, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and the company safety manual.

Ideal candidates bring 6–8 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 500 trainer authorization, CPR/First Aid, and BCSP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years safety experience in construction industry
• Authorized OSHA 500 Trainer
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• SWPP knowledge
• Safety certification from BCSP or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures
• Proficient in relevant software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities; able to conduct crucial conversations
• Manages time and resources effectively
• Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Builds working relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps
• Creates accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents
• Performs safety training for staff and subcontractors; strong presentation skills
• Represents the company professionally with owner and subs
• Develops and delivers safety training aligned with project schedules
• Maintains relationships with vendors and safety stakeholders
• Participates in safety organizations regionally
• Ensures compliance with the safety manual and policies
