Job summary

Safety Worxs is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator for a 5-6 month project in downtown Austin, TX. The PSC leads construction safety activities from start to substantial completion, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and project safety standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

The role includes administering the safety program, conducting inspections, investigations, and trainings, and ensuring subcontractor compliance on site in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in building construction safety.
• Experience must be in building construction only.
• OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) OR OSHA 502 (Trainer Update).
• Current certifications: Emergency First Aid, CPR, AED.
• Experience in safety process management and field safety.
• Strong training and education delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project’s safety program through the full construction lifecycle.
• Implement hazard identification, mitigation, and field inspections.
• Conduct incident investigations and provide preventive recommendations.
• Deliver continuing education and practical safety training on site.
• Maintain safety records, documentation and training evidence.
• Coordinate with project leadership and ensure subcontractor compliance.
