Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Manager to lead environmental health and safety programs across multiple construction sites. The role requires sharp leadership, a strong safety background, and coordination with project executives, managers, and site teams.

Candidates should have a four-year degree in safety or engineering, OSHA 500, and First Aid/CPR/AED training, plus 5+ years in construction safety and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Travel to various jobsites is expected.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of building construction safety experience or equivalent education and experience.
• OSHA 500 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training.
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• ASP or CSP within 2 years of appointment is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety on multiple construction projects and enforce safety policies.
• Mentor and coach onsite crew and coordinate with project executives and managers.
• Foster relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance.
• Develop and enhance the overall project safety program and provide safety leadership on assigned projects.
• Conduct site safety trainings, investigations and audits; enforce corrective actions when needed.
