Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety leadership and compliance across multiple high-profile construction projects. The role requires ensuring adherence to safety policies, regulations, and best practices while driving improvements through collaboration with project teams and partners.

The ideal candidate will bring a four-year safety-related degree and 7+ years of building construction safety experience, including field work and program management.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management or Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 7 years dedicated to building construction safety.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety process management.
• Minimum 3 years of field safety experience.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training, current to within 2 years.
• ASP or CSP within 2 years of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce safety policies across multiple construction projects.
• Drive improvements in safety programs and processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Identify hazardous conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor onsite crews and coach on safety best practices.
• Collaborate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers on safety alignment.
• Develop and participate in site safety plans and job hazard analyses.
• Oversight of OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
