Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services is seeking a Safety Manager to lead all project safety efforts on a large-scale construction project. Based primarily at the jobsite, you will ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations for the project team, employees, and subcontractors, with occasional travel to the office.

You will administer the Safety Plan, perform SafetyNet inspections, train staff on OSHA requirements, and collaborate with insurance carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering.
• 4–6 years of construction safety management experience.
• BCSP credential.
• GU and OSHA instructor certification to teach safety courses.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports all safety efforts on the project and promotes the Gilbane Cares safety culture.
• Ensures contractor activities are preplanned for safety through scope review and JHA/STA processes.
• Maintains all safety related documentation and records.
• Performs SafetyNet inspections and analyzes trending reports.
• Investigates accidents/near misses and completes required paperwork.
• Trains project teams on Gilbane, client, and OSHA safety requirements.
