Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety culture across multiple construction projects, enforcing policies and driving proactive risk management. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on continuous safety improvements.

You will oversee safety program implementation, field training, and compliance with OSHA standards, while mentoring site crews and coordinating with project teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management or Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 7 years dedicated solely to building construction safety.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety process management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of actual field experience in safety.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training, current to within 2 years.
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Achievement of ASP or CSP within 2 years of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify known potential exposures and lead corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Champion McGough's safety culture by leading and enforcing safety policies across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to drive a proactive safety culture.
• Mentor and coach onsite crews to instill safety best practices and risk awareness.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safety compliance.
• Drive safety program development and continuous improvements with the Safety Team.
• Enforce safety programs and procedures; implement corrective actions per regulations and owner requirements.
• Oversee site safety training, pre-construction planning meetings, and hazard analyses.
• Prepare reports and maintain safety documentation; track trends and incidents.
