Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety culture across multiple construction projects nationwide. You will enforce safety policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive risk-based improvements on site.

The role requires mentorship of crews, strong relationships with stakeholders, and proactive incident prevention. The position emphasizes safety program leadership, field experience, and the ability to implement corrective actions while collaborating with the Safety Team and project

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management or Engineering or related degree.
• Minimum 7 years dedicated solely to building construction safety.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety process management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of actual field experience in safety.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training, current to within 2 years.
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Achievement of ASP or CSP within 2 years of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify known potential exposures and lead corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead McGough's safety culture across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Identify and control hazardous conditions through standards, training and corrective actions.
• Mentor and coach onsite crews on safety best practices and risk awareness.
• Build relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers for safety alignment.
• Collaborate with Safety Team to drive initiatives and program development.
• Enforce safety programs and procedures and take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead pre-construction safety planning and site hazard analysis.
