Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety culture across multiple construction projects and enforce safety policies in line with regulations and best practices. The role requires collaboration with project leadership, mentorship of onsite teams, and coordination with owners, design partners, and subcontractors.

The position emphasizes proactive safety program development, site inspections, and incident investigations to prevent injuries and property damage.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management or Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years dedicated to building construction safety.
• Minimum 5 years construction safety process management experience.
• Minimum 3 years actual field safety experience.
• OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training current to within 2 years.
• ASP or CSP required within 2 years of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce safety policies across multiple construction projects.
• Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents and Foremen to drive safety culture.
• Mentor onsite crews to instill safety best practices and risk awareness.
• Maintain relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers for safety compliance.
• Drive initiatives with the Safety Team and contribute to program development and improvements.
• Perform site safety inspections, training, and incident investigations.
