Job summary

Sea Island Land Development in Ravenel, SC, is seeking a Safety Manager to lead site safety across multiple heavy civil projects. The role focuses on enforcing zero-injury goals, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating training programs for crews and supervisors.

You will work with foremen, superintendents, and project managers to ensure regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions while driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 and 510 certifications desired.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED instructor certification preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Familiarity with NCCER curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety processes across sites and drive zero-injury goals.
• Collaborate with foremen, superintendents, and PMs to enforce safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and comprehensive safety assessments.
• Address safety issues promptly and modify project plans as needed.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
• Coordinate safety programs across projects and manage risk.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and report findings.
• Provide updates to senior leadership on safety status and initiatives.
• Lead safety strategies and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Oversee adherence to company safety standards across all sites.
