Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Onsite Safety Professional to serve as the primary safety authority for major campus developments in Summerville, SC and surrounding areas. This project-based role requires 3 to 5 year commitments to ensure rigorous safety compliance and risk mitigation in high-stakes environments.

You will split time between field oversight (70%) and project documentation (30%), working onsite Monday through Friday with 2nd and 3rd shift rotations as project demands require.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in mission-critical or data center construction with complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5–7 years related safety/field supervision over trades.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA, NESC, ANSI and best practices for large-scale projects.
• Strong communication, independent work, root cause analysis, risk mitigation and mentorship.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GC EHS compliance through daily field tours, biweekly safety project walks, and monthly evaluations.
• Provide construction management with real-time safety metrics, incident reports, and weekly summaries.
• Facilitate safety committees and support risk assessments, incident investigations, and milestone reviews.
• Manage daily safety improvement reporting and ensure correction of non-compliance issues.
