Job summary

Securus Safety Solutions is seeking a Project Safety Assistant to support safety on active construction sites across Texas. The role reports to the Regional HSE Consultant and focuses on promoting safe work, conducting inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance including OSHA standards.

You will work with regional leadership, site supervisors, project managers and trade contractors to identify hazards, participate in investigations, deliver toolbox talks, and help implement JHAs/AHAs and

Qualifications

• 7 consecutive years in building construction safety or 5 years with CSP/CHST and related training.
• Continuing safety training evidence for the claimed period.
• If holding a 4-year construction safety degree, provide at least 3 years field safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, audits and hazard oversight across sites.
• Manage safety docs, logs, SDS binders and project safety files.
• Design and deliver safety training such as toolbox talks and orientations.
• Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Review JHAs/AHAs and site safety plans; assist in risk mitigation.
• Coordinate emergency response planning and liaison with local services.
• Adapt duties to project needs and safety-related field evaluations.
