Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Safety Specialist for projects around the Central Indiana market. You will support managers and teams in implementing safety policies, conducting trainings, and leading safety meetings.

Ideal candidates bring OSHA/DOT/EPA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment with 50+ hours/week. BCSP and trainer certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 3–6+ years of safety and health in construction preferred.
• BCSP certification preferred; OSHA 30/10-hour training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing safety strategies to reduce injuries.
• Provide training on safety and health requirements to personnel.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure implementation of policies.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to uphold safety policies.
