Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Intern to gain hands-on, real-world experience in construction safety. You will learn the programs, regulations, and guidelines we rely on to keep crews safe and ensure everyone returns home each day.

The internship offers exposure to Project Safety Program development and field operations across North America. You will support site safety policies, monitor activities for compliance with OSHA and client requirements, and assist in safety audits and on-site trainings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current OSHA requirements.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in varying environments and travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and overseeing the Project Safety Program.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Help establish site safety policies and procedures.
• Provide corrective action recommendations and assist in safety audits.
• Support onsite training and travel to project sites as required.
