Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Safety professional to support the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) at an assigned location. This role collaborates with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and health facilities to ensure safe operations.

You will assist in implementing safety programs, conduct inspections, and participate in regulatory investigations to protect employees and company interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in construction or applicable industry with safety responsibilities.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates, owner representatives, regulatory agencies, clinics to ensure effective working relationships.
• Promote engagement with safety programs and incident prevention efforts.
• Assist in implementing safety programs to meet strategic goals.
• Perform noise and dust sampling and other industrial hygiene testing to stay compliant.
• Conduct inspections, observations and audits to reduce incidents and protect employees.
