Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Safety Administrator to support the company’s Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) at an assigned California location. This role will ensure compliance with safety regulations and contribute to a safe work environment for employees on site.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, coordinating training, and supporting regulatory inspections. A Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field and 3+ years of safety experience in construction are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related field preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in construction or applicable industry with safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support administration of the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Coordinate with team members, owner representatives, regulatory agencies, clinics and testing facilities.
• Promote engagement with the safety program and incident prevention efforts.
• Assist in implementing safety programs to meet strategic goals.
• Perform inspections, observations and audits to reduce incidents and protect employees.
