Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project teams on construction projects nationwide. This safety sensitive role focuses on implementing safety policies, monitoring activities, and correcting unsafe acts in the field and office.

You will assist with accident investigations, OSHA inspections, and safety audits, while learning the construction process and various roles. A 4-year degree is preferred and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.

Responsibilities

• Assist safety manager and project team with safety planning and policy implementation.
• Support planning, monitoring, and correcting unsafe acts or conditions on site and in office.
• Participate in six-step safety and quality control processes and audits.
• Assist in OSHA inspections and incident investigations as needed.
• Monitor safety performance of Hensel Phelps and trade partners.
• Attend safety courses and build understanding of construction processes.
