Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Engineer to support the safety manager and project team on a construction project. You will help implement safety policies, monitor activities, and correct unsafe acts.

This is a safety sensitive role with focus on field and office safety across the project. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, assisting with accident prevention, and participating in the six-step QC/safety process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders including Hensel Phelps staff and trade partners.
• Assist Safety Manager in accident prevention plan and safety management tools.
• Support OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
• Contribute to activity hazard analyses and safety follow-ups.
• Monitor safety performance of the project and partners.
