Jobot is seeking an experienced Permanent Safety Coordinator to join our construction-focused team in the utility sector. You will oversee and implement safety programs, ensuring DOT, state, and local regulatory compliance across sites.

The role includes site inspections, safety training, incident reporting, emergency planning, and liaison with regulatory bodies. 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of regulations are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety coordination or a similar role within the utility or construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of DOT requirements, state regulations, local regulations, and workplace safety.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and initiatives.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols and procedures in the construction industry.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development and implementation of safety protocols and programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, ensuring that all safety measures are properly implemented and maintained.
• Organize and conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring that they are aware of safety regulations and procedures.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on safety-related incidents and issues, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with management and staff to foster a safety-conscious environment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current regulations and best practices in safety management, ensuring that the company's safety policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, coordinating drills and training to ensure preparedness.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies such as DOT and OSHA, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and to find ways to prevent them in the future.
