Job summary

Mullins Mechanical and Welding is seeking a Construction Recruiter to manage the recruiting department’s routine functions for their assigned clients, including understanding manpower needs and maintaining communication with candidates in the pipeline.

The role collaborates with executive and project management to align hiring with upcoming project needs, manages the ATS, drafts job postings, and ensures pre-employment steps such as background checks are completed on time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Recruiter in the construction industry (3–5 years preferred).
• Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop and update job descriptions and specifications.
• Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to ATS and job boards.
• Source and recruit candidates via databases and social media.
• Screen resumes and applications.
• Conduct interviews using various tools and questionnaires.
• Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills and experience.
• Drive the recruiting process from application to start date onsite.
• Coordinate interviews and collect feedback from managers.
• Prepare and present offers to candidates.
• Complete pre-employment activities (background checks, drug screens).
• Coordinate start date/time/location with HR/site management.
• Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
• Design and implement recruiting strategies.
• Manage the recruitment process and update procedures as needed.
• Provide recruiting reports and data to support continuous improvement.
