Hensel Phelps is seeking a Quality Control Manager to implement and manage the QC program across one or more projects. The role involves coordinating QC engineers, working with the PM and PS to resolve issues, and promoting quality control regionally.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture or construction management, or similar experience in a related position.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer software - Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the start-up and implementation of the six-step quality control/safety process.
• Lead the weekly QC meetings.
• Assist with the development of agendas for preparatory meetings.
• Review and maintain the project quality process log (QPL).
• Interface with owner's quality assurance and management on quality issues.
• Review inspection reports, punch lists, and close-in inspection results.
• Submit and review RFIs to ensure field changes are implemented.
• Coordinate third party testing agency activities with partners.
• Evaluate and develop QC personnel.
