Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Manager to develop and manage division sourcing agreements for key spend areas. You will ensure top-quality trade partners, audit performance, and drive cost optimization across projects. Travel to sites will be required to assess partnerships and communicate results to leadership.

The role demands strong negotiation, analytics, and experience with residential homebuilding. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of JDE/AS400 are favored, with a college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years sourcing and managing Supplier/Trade Partner relationships.
• Superior analytical and communication skills required.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Significant knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, and execute division sourcing agreements for specified spend categories.
• Ensure top-quality trade partners for production needs with focus on quality, scheduling, and pricing.
• Conduct audits of trade partners to assess quality and adherence to schedules.
• Source, contract, negotiate, and onboard new trade partners with required insurance.
• Travel to sites to assess performance and communicate with the Director of Purchasing.
• Implement material sourcing strategies to optimize supply chain flow.
• Facilitate value-engineering sessions with trade partners and associates.
• Develop should-cost models for cost estimation and optimization.
• Monitor divisional cost per square foot for designated categories.
• Negotiate and validate pricing and legitimacy of EPOs.
• Review scopes of work and resolve issues with Expeditor as needed.
