Job summary

The Haskell Company in Dallas, TX seeks a senior project manager to lead large, multi-disciplinary construction efforts, acting as the primary client contact and coordinating design, cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management. You will drive project success through clear communication and strong leadership.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and 8+ years in construction management with 50%+ travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent plus 8 years minimum in construction management.
• Knowledge in the design and construction of Industrial Water/Wastewater facilities.
• 50%+ travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project directors with conceptual estimates, schedules, and proposal documents.
• Monitor design documents and provide input on constructability and changes.
• Prepare detailed estimates, cost codes, and cost control systems.
• Prepare bid packages and invitations to bid; receive and analyze bids; qualify subcontractors; award subcontracts and major purchase orders.
• Define job organization with the director of construction and core personnel.
• Plan, sequence, and schedule the project with input from superintendent and subcontractors; manageSchedule.
• Manage project cost reports and status summaries.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, and final approvals with authorities.
• Maintain submittal control and expedite submittals from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage client relations, meetings, reports, change orders, and inquiries.
• Prepare requisitions for payment and optimize cash flow through invoicing.
• Handle contract changes and budget updates with owners.
• Manage payments to subcontractors and vendors; review schedules and insure insurance coverage.
• Oversee subcontractor performance issues and corrective actions.
• Monitor progress, quality, and safety; enforce policy.
• Mentor construction personnel; support career development.
• Manage project close-out tasks and warranty work.
