Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago, IL is seeking a Field Construction Manager to support EPC/Construction projects from pre-con through warranty. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, client relations, and field staff to ensure successful project delivery.

Bachelor's degree in construction, CM, engineering or related field and 7 years of relevant PM experience are required. Proficiency with MS Office and construction PM software is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, CM, engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of relevant project management experience in construction.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and multiple projects.
• Develop project plans, schedules, estimating, cost development and objectives.
• Manage client relationships and proposals; interface with client on project items.
• Negotiate contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Monitor safety, quality, and compliance with project plans; manage risk reviews.
