Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Columbus, OH is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC project management from pre-construction through warranty. You will lead day-to-day construction activities, manage safety, quality, schedule, and costs, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors across multiple projects.

The role requires a Bachelor in a related field and 7+ years of construction project management experience, with strong MS Office and project management software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of relevant project management experience in construction.
• Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote safety performance of project team members and subcontractors.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and successful execution of one or more projects.
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and objective setting.
• Develop and manage client relationships; interface for proposals and project items.
• Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Implement project execution plans including safety, quality, staffing, and procurement.
• Coordinate staffing plans and ensure cost-effective utilization of staff.
• Oversee site layout, mobilization, demobilization, and permits.
• Review budgets, cash flow, and project status reports; present to management.
