Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC-based programs in Chicago, IL. The role will oversee day-to-day construction activities, safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and the management of contracts, subcontracts, and field staff across multiple projects.

You will develop project plans, coordinate with engineering, manage client relationships, and lead risk reviews while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and facilitating project turnover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure successful execution of projects.
• Develop project plans, schedules, cost development, and critical objectives.
• Manage client relationships and interface on proposals and projects.
• Negotiate prime and subcontract contracts and change orders.
• Lead risk reviews and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and train field staff and interns.
