Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex construction projects. You will coordinate field leadership, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety, schedule, and budget goals are met.

You will serve as the primary contact for owners, architects, and engineers and report to the Project Executive. The role emphasizes project performance and financial success, with accountability to the Project Executive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction PM experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• General Contractor License preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation.
• Advanced interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, terminate, and reassign duties of staff as needed.
• Develop and implement operating procedures for project operations.
• Approve material purchases and equipment rentals not covered in the estimate.
• Act as company representative in negotiations with owners.
• Approve tool and supplies purchases on site.
• Approve all contract agreements and outside repair costs.
• Review reports on time, cost, quality and safety for top management.
• Oversee preparation of project budget and schedule.
• Audit activities for efficient, profitable project lifecycle.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Maintain good relations with project teams, subcontractors, and owners.
