Job summary

JE Dunn Construction, Dallas, TX, seeks a Project Manager 2 to provide direction on moderately complex construction projects and manage project operations from start to finish.

You will lead safety culture, coordinate preconstruction activities, manage submittals and change requests, work with stakeholders, and drive on-schedule delivery while optimizing project profitability. This role requires 7+ years of construction management and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
• Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate).
• Ability to conduct effective presentations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate).
• Proficiency in project management and accounting software (Advanced).
• Proficiency in scheduling software (Advanced).
• Lean process knowledge (Intermediate).
• Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentors staff.
• Supports preconstruction tasks including quantity takeoff and scope development.
• Manages buyout scheduling, pricing, and subcontracts.
• Oversees submittal schedules and reviews shop drawings.
• Coordinates stakeholders: subcontractors, owner, design team, vendors.
• Prepares change requests and secures approvals.
• Develops and updates project schedule using Lean principles.
• Provides regular reporting on project status and profitability.
• Leads project closeout processes and financial reviews.
