Job summary

Red Rock Recruiters is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for food & beverage and dairy industrial projects across the United States. You will lead site operations, support the Superintendent, and drive safety, schedules, and budgets from pre-construction to closeout.

The role requires managing multiple concurrent projects with internal teams and subcontractors, delivering client satisfaction and project objectives with strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience, preferably in food & beverage, dairy, or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Chair weekly owner meetings and issue minutes.
• Prepare and issue project forecasts, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage hours, budgets and owner billings.
• Coordinate pre-construction through closeout activities.
• Direct self-perform teams and subcontractors on site.
• Issue RFPs, change orders, and vendor approvals.
• Lead safety planning with site teams.
• Oversee estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting, and QA.
• Foster open communication and define team roles.

Construction Project Manager: Dairy / Food & Beverage / Industrial

If you are an experienced Industrial Project Manager with the specialized skills, experience, and crew required in the highly-involved, specialty construction of food, beverage, and dairy processing construction: Let's Talk!

Our client is a recognized General Contractor within the food & beverage industry supporting companies such as Chobani, Nestle, Purina, Leprino, Hormel, General Mills, Tyson, Lamb Wesson, Land O' Lakes to name a few. They've built processing plants, canning facilities, bakeries & mills, dairy operations, as well as pet food & snack manufacturing facilities.

They are searching for an exceptional PM with a history of & project list full of food & beverage or industrial manufacturing projects to join their jobsite leadership team to handle current business activity, pending / future project log, and growth across the United States.

As our newest Project Manager you'll oversee all aspects of the project and client. You'll support your Superintendent and site leadership to lead self perform teams (concrete, structural steel, millwright, process equipment installation, etc) as well as subcontractor field personnel. You will drive / monitor / report daily onsite activity, safety, and success. You'll manage goals / timelines / budgets / projects, while leading your client and project management team from pre-construction to closeout.

You'll bring your passion and experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, Food & Beverage, Dairy construction. This role will involve managing multiple concurrent projects with support from your project team, Project Superintendent, and corporate.

Roughly 80% of our work is in the Central & Mountain Time Zones, 15% Pacific, 5% Eastern.

What You'll Do:

• Capacity to manage multiple smaller projects, or one larger one.
• Chair Weekly Owner Meetings and distribute meeting minutes
• Prepare and issue the project financial forecasts
• Track project hours and budgets
• Prepare and issue the project schedules
• Prepare and issue the project budget (New Job Info Sheet)
• Prepare and issue the Owner billings
• Signature approval of all project related and miscellaneous invoices (in Spectrum)
• Initiate all project related vendor Requests for Proposal
• Initiate all project related Change Requests
• Initiate all project related Owner Vendor Approval Release letters
• Initiate all project related Vendor subcontracts and major purchase orders
• Initiate all project related Vendor Modifications
• Process all project related RFI’s, submittals and substitution requests, and the preparation of the procurement and expediting logs
• Work with Safety and Field to develop Site Specific Safety Plans
• Direct responsibility for all aspects of the pre-construction & construction project
• Coordinate and own the estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting, construction and quality assurance activities
• Build an open communication atmosphere
• Develop "project goals" with team member involvement, define and manage team member roles and responsibilities
• Review pre-contracts to meet project schedule and needs, ensure consistency between scope of work, drawings, and estimate

To Be Successful, You Should Have:

• YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN (DoD requirement)
• 5+ YEARS OF INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
• Experienced in Food & Beverage, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Data Center construction preferred
• Experienced PM team leader directing internal self-perform teams, crews, subs
• Self perform leadership in concrete, structural steel, millwright, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal & logic-based communication skills
• Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems: Vista Viewpoint / Procore / MS Project / Spectrum preferred
• Calm and rational demeanor, yet strong willed
• Must have a desire for continuous learning and career advancement
