Job summary

Renewyx is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a public sector renovation in the Northern Sacramento Valley. The role leads a multi-faceted project from mobilization to closeout, overseeing interior renovations, an addition, roof replacement, and site improvements.

Construction Project Manager - Northern Sacramento Valley

Salary $130,000–$160,000 DOE, plus medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, life and disability coverage after a 90-day probationary period, 401(k) eligibility after one year, 10 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, and two weeks of accruing PTO.

Commercial construction, public sector renovation and site work, with a 20-year regional builder.

We are representing a well-established commercial construction firm based in the Sacramento region, known for its work on public and institutional projects and its focus on building lasting relationships with the communities it serves.

The Role:

This Project Manager will lead a public sector renovation project, managing the work from mobilization through closeout. The scope includes interior renovation, a building addition, roof system replacement, and associated site improvements. PMs on this team typically spend most of their time at the job site rather than in the office.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning day-to-day management of the project from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and the design team on scope, schedule, and budget
• Managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
• Serving as the primary point of contact for the owner and any public agency stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with site-specific access and security requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
• Some public works experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to run a job site independently
• Comfort working within a secured facility environment
• DSA (Division of the State Architect) project experience
• Broader public works background
