Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a growing PMCM team in Northern California. You will represent owners on complex capital programs, manage projects from planning through completion, and collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure outcomes.

You will lead healthcare, institutional, and facility projects, uphold safety and quality standards, and mentor teams while driving schedules and budgets across multiple initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 15+ years of project management experience in construction, capital programs, or facility development.
  • Experience as Owner's Representative on capital improvement, renovation, or facility upgrade projects.
  • Strong background in healthcare, institutional, public sector, or complex facilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and SharePoint; project controls tools.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a growing Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) team in Northern California.

This role is ideal for a leader with extensive experience representing owners on complex capital programs, facility upgrades, healthcare projects, and major renovation initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as an Owner's Representative, managing project delivery from planning through completion while collaborating with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams and drive successful delivery of capital projects and programs.
  • Establish project goals, objectives, policies, and procedures that support project success.
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to less experienced project staff.
Project Management & Delivery
  • Lead complex healthcare, facility, and capital improvement projects with significant scope, resource requirements, and operational complexity.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Monitor all phases of design and construction activities to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates.
  • Review and oversee purchase orders, change orders, invoices, and project expenditures.
  • Forecast project performance and identify potential financial risks and liabilities.
  • Ensure accurate budget tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure key milestones are achieved.
  • Anticipate project challenges and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, project procedures, and quality standards.
Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams and project partners.
  • Communicate complex project information to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage conflict resolution and drive consensus across project teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of project management experience within construction, capital programs, or facility development.
  • Proven experience serving as an Owner's Representative on capital improvement, renovation, or facility upgrade projects.
  • Strong background managing healthcare, institutional, public sector, commercial, or complex facility projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience, including mentoring, team development, and performance management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint.
  • Experience utilizing project management software and project controls tools.
  • Proven ability to identify project risks and implement solutions that maintain quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience overseeing large-scale renovation, modernization, and facility improvement programs.
  • Background managing multiple projects simultaneously within a program management environment.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or similar credentials.
