Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a senior project manager to lead portions of prime contracts, manage staff, and drive schedules, budgets, and client communications.

You will coordinate staffing, identify risks, review invoices, and ensure adherence to PM policies while delivering quality, on-time outcomes for complex projects across multiple disciplines. Travel up to 20–40% may be required domestically or internationally.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leads portions of the prime project contract, including staff management.
• Advises manager on their portion of the overall project.
• Implements project plans and resource plan for assigned portions.
• Coordinates staffing and outside resources; ensures procurement processes are followed.
• Communicates deadlines, assignments and objectives to project team.
• Coaches staff and escalates performance issues to management.
• Identifies residual risk (time and cost) and communicates it clearly.
• Prepares statements of work and budgets for assigned portions and gains concurrence.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor/vendor invoices to ensure timely payment.
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships and ensures client satisfaction.
