Job summary

J. Davis Construction, a family-owned general contractor, seeks a Project Executive to lead business development, preconstruction, client services, and project management for a designated sector. You will grow client relationships, win new work, manage budgets, and mentor teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is based in South Carolina with office locations in Anderson, Spartanburg, or Mt. Pleasant.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience with business development.
Experience managing multiple commercial projects and leading PM teams.
Familiarity with GMP, Lump Sum, CM at-Risk, and Design-Build delivery methods.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and margin oversight skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead business development efforts and strategic client relationships to generate new work.
Oversee preconstruction, client services, and project management for assigned sector.
Monitor schedules, budgets, and contract compliance to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Mentor Project Managers and staff; cultivate a positive, high-performing team culture.
Partner with leadership to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
