Job summary

J. Davis Construction is seeking a Project Executive to lead business development, client relations, and project management across an assigned sector in the Upstate region.

The role directs preconstruction, budgeting, and team leadership to win work and deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in commercial construction, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong knowledge of GMP, Lump Sum, CM at-Risk, and Design-Build methods, with proficiency in Procore

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience including business development and client relationship management.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience leading multiple commercial projects and project management teams.
• Knowledge of GMP, Lump Sum, CM at-Risk, and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Financial management experience: budgeting, forecasting, margin oversight.
• Proficiency with construction CM software and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development, client relations, and contract negotiations to secure new work.
• Oversee preconstruction, project management, and operations for assigned sectors.
• Mentor Project Managers and operational staff; build a high-performing team.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with high client satisfaction.
• Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and project risk; drive process improvements.
• Partner with senior leadership to grow market presence and improve operations.
