Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project finance leader to manage the financial execution of large-scale construction projects in Philadelphia, PA. You will serve as the primary financial contact for the project team, overseeing billing, cash flow, forecasting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities include month-end close, cost-to-complete reviews, and revenue recognition, with collaboration across project leaders to align with contract terms and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field required with minimum 8 years of related experience
• In-depth knowledge of project accounting, billing, receivables, collections and cost control
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract language
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and company policies
• Knowledge of audit procedures and risk assessment
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to summarize issues and propose corrective actions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional written and verbal communication, able to convey complex information to non-financial audiences

Responsibilities

• Provide project financial oversight and ensure compliance from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage billing, receivables, and collections to improve net working capital and align with controls
• Confirm client contractual requirements for billing and review owner contract analysis
• Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, profit plans, and cash flow models
• Review budgets for accuracy and reflect risks and contract terms
• Lead audits and cost audit processes (BARs, CABs) as required
• Lead month-end close, WIP analysis, and revenue recognition
• Assess and summarize project financial performance and communicate risks to leadership
• Support ORM, PIMs, and other financial health checks
• Improve forecasting processes and cost coding; mentor junior staff
• Provide training on financial systems and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned
