Job summary

James G. Davis Construction Corporation seeks a Project Executive to drive project delivery from preconstruction through closeout in our Rockville, MD portfolio. You will supervise and mentor project teams, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

The role requires 12+ years in construction, a relevant degree, strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to safety and sustainable building practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent construction experience.
• General contracting experience.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years previous construction experience.
• Knowledge of project management principles and safety standards.
• Strong leadership of junior team members and cross-functional groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels.
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and change management.
• Sustainable building experience (LEED preferred).
• Certifications (CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30, WELL, ILFI, LEED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management, supervision, and coordination of construction projects.
• Lead preconstruction and bidding processes to secure work.
• Develop and manage cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor and lead project teams; ensure performance and development.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality controls across projects.
• Communicate project status and decisions with stakeholders and clients.
