Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years in leadership or business development.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar construction project management software is a plus.
  • Background in pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and/or agricultural construction projects is a plus.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in sales, client presentations, and contract negotiation.
  • Working knowledge of construction project workflows and industry processes.
  • Track record of business development success, including account management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial management of projects, including identifying new business opportunities, preparing bids, and negotiating and finalizing contracts
  • Build and strengthen relationships in the market while maximizing opportunities with existing clients
  • Continuously improve procedures, standards, and policies while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Develop, implement, and execute a strategic business plan, including achievement of assigned financial and client satisfaction metrics
  • Engage with local business and community organizations to promote a positive public image and build business relationships
  • Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division
  • Coordinate with other locations and senior leaders to discuss and resolve common challenges
  • Hold overall responsibility for construction job costs, customer satisfaction, and team commitment to quality and company values
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members, using recognition and motivation approaches suited to each individual
  • Participate as needed in the management and execution of construction projects within the location
