Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and construction projects from pre-construction through completion.

This role assists in estimating project scope, coordinating schedules, managing material flow, and supporting project financial performance while working closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and customers to ensure safety, efficiency, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and contracts.
• Experience with estimating and quantity takeoffs preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in estimating project scope, costs, and bid preparation.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and support construction estimates.
• Review project plans, specs, and contracts for accuracy.
• Coordinate schedules, materials, and subcontractors with field operations.
• Track project progress, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support project financial tracking, billing, and cost control.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including change orders and reports.
• Communicate project updates with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Assist in managing subcontractor performance and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies (MSHA/OSHA) and project requirements.
