Job summary

Clark Construction in McLean, VA seeks a Project Engineer to manage technical aspects of projects and lead coordination among clients, trade partners, engineers, architects and staff. You will plan, schedule, predict and control all technical tasks to ensure accuracy, resources, and quality throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 2+ years in a project/engineer position in construction, solid reading of drawings/specs, and proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 2+ years experience as engineer, project engineer, or similar role in construction.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; strong planning and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans/specs.
• Support development and updating of project schedules and subcontractor detail schedules.
