Job summary

LA Conservation Corps seeks a Crew Supervisor I to lead and mentor a crew of 3-14 participants aged 18-26 in conservation projects across Los Angeles. You will supervise work, coordinate projects, recruit participants, provide education support, and model professional conduct in field and community settings.

You will train corpsmembers in safety, tool use, and conservation techniques, while managing schedules, reporting, and ensuring high quality work and positive outcomes for youth development

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year supervisory experience with youth growth.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Preferred AA/BA in related field; conservation experience beneficial.
• Proficiency with tools used in conservation-based work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor crew of 3–14 participants.
• Coordinate and manage conservation projects and activities.
• Recruit participants and provide education support.
• Model safe work practices and positive conduct in field.
• Deliver trainings on tool use, safety, and environmental methods.
• Ensure project quality and timely completion; communicate with sponsors.
