Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to join our team and support the successful delivery of residential and commercial construction projects. This role offers a unique balance of field and office work, with approximately 60% of time spent on-site across Long Island overseeing and managing project locations, and the remaining 40% in-office handling administrative tasks, reporting, and coordination. It provides an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to gain hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and field coordination while working closely with senior management, contractors, architects, and engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure projects remain on scope, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor work progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, progress reports, and documentation for internal and client-facing updates.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Assist in the procurement process, including soliciting bids and evaluating vendor proposals.
  • Support senior managers in resolving field issues, coordinating logistics, and managing project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction management, project coordination, or related role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and construction management software (Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunities for career development, mentorship, and advancement.
