Job summary

Abbott Construction in Kennewick, WA seeks a qualified construction PM to lead preconstruction activities, manage budgets, and coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule.

You will develop plans, review specifications, supervise field engineers, negotiate change orders, and ensure quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of two or more years of commercial construction experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to read blueprints.
• Understands building codes and practices; adheres to ethics and policies.
• Strong problem solving and organizational abilities; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing estimates, budgets, and unit cost reports.
• Organize and conduct pre-construction planning meetings.
• Participate in negotiating project subcontracts and change orders.
• Assist in project management planning and execution of the contract.
• Develop and monitor project quality, safety, and risk plans.
