Job summary

Abbott Construction is seeking a qualified project professional to support estimates, budgets and planning for commercial projects in Seattle, WA. You will assist the project team with preparing management plans and schedules, coordinating pre-construction activities, and ensuring timely execution of contracts.

Responsibilities include negotiating subcontracts, managing cost control, and maintaining quality, safety, and compliance with project plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field required or equivalent.
• Minimum of two or more years of commercial construction experience.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
• Understands construction laws, codes, and reads blueprints correctly.
• Professional ethics and ability to plan and allocate resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of estimates, project budgets and unit cost reports.
• Organizes and conducts pre-construction planning meetings.
• Participates in the negotiation of project subcontracts.
• Prepares project management plans and ensures successful execution of contracts.
• Develops project schedules and milestones with the Project Superintendent.
• Maintains project cost control and facilitates monthly cost reviews.
