Job summary

BMWC Constructors is seeking a Project Accountant to support the financial management of large-scale industrial construction projects from our Indianapolis headquarters. You will collaborate with project teams, accounting leadership, and field staff to ensure accurate billing, proper cost capture, and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting or project accounting experience.
• Experience in construction or project-based accounting preferred, including job costing and WIP analysis.
• Familiarity with Time & Materials, AIA, or other construction contract billing.

Responsibilities

• Perform WIP analysis and monitor financial performance of projects.
• Prepare and post billings for Lump Sum and Time & Material contracts with supporting docs.
• Review and reconcile job costs, billings, AR, and project financial records.
• Review payroll costs and labor hours for accurate allocation to projects.
• Collaborate with Accounting Manager and Project Managers on project setup and accounting needs.
• Manage accounts receivable and coordinate collections with project managers.
• Review and track accounts payable and subcontractor transactions.
• Generate project financial reports and ad hoc analyses.
