Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Accountant to join our construction-focused team. This role blends accounting and project management, handling cost accounting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple projects.

You will work closely with project managers to ensure financial health and timely reporting. You will utilize Yardi and MS Project, manage AR/AP, maintain ledgers, and help ensure projects stay within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of project accounting experience in construction
• Proficient in cost accounting, forecasting, and financial statement prep
• Experience with AR/AP, general ledger, and check runs
• Proficient in Yardi, MS Project, and Excel
• Strong communication and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including cost accounting and forecasting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly project financial statements for management.
• Maintain AR/AP, ensure timely payments, and process check runs.
• Maintain the general ledger for each project and reflect transactions accurately.
• Use Yardi and MS Project to track costs, reports, and timelines.
• Collaborate with PMs to develop budgets and monitor costs to stay within budget.
• Identify improvements to processes and systems to boost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
