Job summary

CORE Builders is seeking a Project Accountant to support the financial success of construction projects by managing project billing, draw preparation, subcontractor and vendor invoice processing, payment administration, contract tracking, and project cost documentation.

This role serves as a key financial partner to Project Managers, the Accounting Manager, and CFO, ensuring accurate and timely project accounting activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the construction industry with project cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of AIA format billing, lien releases, retention, and project documentation.
• Leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer monthly owner draw packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other stakeholders to collect billing documentation.
• Review and reconcile billing information from Procore, Spectrum, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Maintain and update draw workbooks and schedules (G702/G703).
• Compile draw packages with billing applications, subcontractor invoices, and vendor invoices with supporting backup.
• Schedule and participate in draw review meetings with project and executive leadership.
• Distribute approved draw packages to project teams and stakeholders.
