Job summary

Consolidated Contracting Services, Inc. seeks a Project Accountant to manage financial administration of construction projects from setup through closeout.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, subcontractors, vendors, and the Accounting team to support accurate billing, timely payments, reliable reporting, and healthy project cash flow. The role emphasizes ownership, accuracy, and collaboration, focusing on owner billings, cost reporting and forecasting to keep projects

Qualifications

• Five+ years of general contracting commercial construction accounting experience.
• Knowledge of AIA billing, pay applications, subcontractor requisitions, retainage, change orders, lien waivers, construction job costing, and forecasting.
• Experience preparing owner billings and lender draw packages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience with Procore, Sage, or similar construction and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit owner billings, AIA pay applications, and lender draw packages.
• Track accounts receivable and support collection efforts, cash application, and timely project funding.
• Process subcontractor pay applications and coordinate vendor and subcontractor compliance documentation.
• Set up projects and budgets in Procore and Sage, and maintain accurate job cost reporting and cost-code allocation.
• Track purchase requests, purchase orders, invoices, subcontract commitments, and change orders.
• Review project budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete projections, and budget-to-actual results.
• Identify and communicate potential cost overruns, financial risks, discrepancies, and other issues.
• Prepare project financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
