Ducas Construction, located in Scarborough, Maine, seeks a Project Accountant to support the accounting lifecycle for multiple construction projects from setup to closeout. This role ensures accurate owner billing, job costing, subcontractor compliance with certified payroll and HUD reporting, and timely financial reporting for project teams and leadership.

The position collaborates with Project Managers and Finance to monitor budgets, forecast costs, and perform cost-to-complete analyses,

Formación

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of construction accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of AIA billing, retainage, WIP reporting, and percent-of-completion revenue recognition.

Responsabilidades

Set up new jobs in software platforms with proper cost codes, budgets, and contract documentation.
Review owner contracts for billing requirements, retainage terms, change orders, and payment terms.
Prepare and submit owner billings across multiple contract types (progress, T&M, cost-plus, stipulated sum).
Maintain Schedules of Values throughout project lifecycle.
Track retainage balances and release schedules for owner and subcontractor contracts.
