Job summary

Tomball ISD seeks an Assistant Director of Construction to manage the district’s bond construction program under the leadership of the Executive Director of Facilities & Maintenance. You will coordinate planning, procurement, design, construction, reporting, and warranty activities for a mixed portfolio.

Qualifications

Seven years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or institutional construction.
Experience leading project teams and supervising personnel.
Experience with school district, governmental, or bond-funded construction preferred.
Knowledge of planning, design, procurement, and warranty processes.
Ability to develop project controls and report to executives.

Responsibilities

Lead daily execution of the district’s bond construction program.
Supervise construction staff and assign project responsibilities.
Maintain portfolio plans and reports for executives.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet deadlines.
Ensure procurement, contracts, and payments are properly documented.
