Job summary

Tomball ISD seeks an Assistant Director of Construction to manage the district’s bond construction program under the leadership of the Executive Director of Facilities & Maintenance. You will coordinate planning, procurement, design, construction, reporting, and warranty activities for a mixed portfolio.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or institutional construction.
• Experience leading project teams and supervising personnel.
• Experience with school district, governmental, or bond-funded construction preferred.
• Knowledge of planning, design, procurement, and warranty processes.
• Ability to develop project controls and report to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of the district’s bond construction program.
• Supervise construction staff and assign project responsibilities.
• Maintain portfolio plans and reports for executives.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to meet deadlines.
• Ensure procurement, contracts, and payments are properly documented.
