Job summary

Tomball Independent School District ANCILLARY SERVICES in Tomball, TX seeks an Assistant Director of Construction to support the district’s bond program, overseeing planning, procurement, design, construction, and reporting. You will supervise construction staff and provide accurate recommendations to inform Executive Director decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, facilities management, business, public administration, or related field preferred.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in commercial/institutional construction or related work.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a driving record meeting district requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of the district’s bond construction program under the Executive Director of Facilities.
• Communicate priorities and decisions into project assignments and schedules.
• Supervise and evaluate the Construction Coordinator and department personnel.
• Establish department procedures for planning, project delivery, procurement, control, reporting, and warranty administration.
• Coordinate information across campuses, PMT, architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Identify risks and recommend corrective actions to executives.
