Job summary

Target is seeking a Construction Project Manager for Special Projects and Transitions in Minneapolis, MN. Hybrid/Flex-Your-Day arrangement with onsite and virtual work as required, responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing scope, budgets, and schedules on retail construction projects.

You will coordinate with vendors and field leadership, review bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality control.

Qualifications

Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in project management, store planning or purchasing.
Ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects with focus on estimating, budgeting and scheduling management.
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Experience in public speaking and presenting.
Strong organizational skills.
Periodic project travel.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of store and distribution center projects, including large program rollouts and special projects.
Manage scope, schedule and budget for assigned Target construction projects.
Coordinate onsite construction process and turnover with vendors, GCs, and field teams.
Review and analyze contractor bids; recommend and approve subcontractor bids and changes.
Conduct contract negotiations and monitor payments and close-out contracts.
Ensure Target quality control standards on projects are met.
